September 2010
13.-16.9 Greek movie week Arthouse Cinema Niagara, Tampere. The movies start at 4:30 pm. Tickets 5 euros / show. Mon 13.9 Elokuun rauhalliset illat, Wed 15.9 Vain tämä ilta, Thu 16.9 Valkoinen ja punainen.
fri-sat 24.-25.9 Maailma meillä -event at Metso library. Our Tampere Finnish-Greek organisation and many other organisations will present their activities. Pekka Lepistö will read Greek stories for children, starting at 4 pm.

October 2010
sat 9.10 Greek kitchen cooking course at Ahlman school, from 11 am. to 15 pm. Contact Pertti Mikkola if you want to join this event (040-4176539, or email).
thu 21.10 Member's evening at Suvantokatu 13 A, international associations main lobby, starting at 6 pm. Jukka Laaksonen will tell about his trip to Athos.
sat 30.10 30 years party of Finnish-Greek organisation's alliance, at restaurant Kaisaniemi, in Helsinki. Starting at 7 pm.
sun 31.10 Partly Greek liturgy in Orthodox church of Tampere.

November 2010
sun 21.11 Coffee offered at Nikolaisali.
thu 25.11 The official Autumn meeting at Suvantokatu 13 A. After the meeting we will have the Little Christmas celebration with some snacks and wine served.

USEFUL LINKS AND EVENTS ARRANGED BY OTHER ORGANISATIONS:

*Parthenon stones back to Athens. At 2008 founded committee has a purpose to make British Museum to return the statues and architectural parts of Parthenon temple to Akropolis Museum, Athens. The committee arranges e.g. seminars and lectures, and keeps up the connection to relevant political parties and media. Chariman of the committee is minister Ole Norrback. There are 16 national committees in different countries working as siblings to each others. International head organization is: International Association for the Reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures. You can join to be a member of the committee (if you accept the purpose and rules of the committee), or just participate as supporting member (if you just want to suppor the cause without joining to committee) by paying 50e to committee. Payment for joining to be a member is 15e (or 7e from students). Registrate yourself to be a member by contacting Mika Rissanen (mika.rissanen@jyu.fi, 050-5914250).

*Kreeta-lehti the web-magazine of Crete is published once in a month and includes news and relevant information for Crete-travellers. http://www.kreeta.info/multimedia/Kreetalehti/index.html.

*Valamo organisation will arrange 22.-24.12.2010 the course of Greek orthodox culture. More information at their own web page: www.valamo.fi/opisto.
